What is an impact crusher?

According to different way of crushing, there are two types of impact crushes, one is Horizontal shaft impact crusher (HSI) and vertical shaft impact crusher (VSI). Their available configurations are stationary, portable, and track-mount.

An impact crusher features that high inertia rotor maintains proper penetration; large reduction ratio is achieved with maximum performance rotor. It is widely used in the primary, secondary and tertiary crushing process, and produces even and cubic products.

Impact Crusher Working principle

When the material enters the impact area of the rotor, it is broken by the high-speed impact of the rotor, and is thrown to the impact plate installed above the rotor to break again, and then bounce back from the impact liner to the impact area of the rotor to be broken again. In this process, the materials also collide with each other to achieve the effect of crushing.

This process is repeated until the material is crushed to the required size and discharged from the lower part of the machine.
